It’s 1 am on a Friday night and you are craving greasy food.You know you want pizza but aren’t up to buying a whole pie and would much rather prefer an individual pizza. Where do you go? Do you go to Lotsa?Personally, my answer is no. Instead of Lotsa, I find myself at Pie Express.For those of you not familiar, Pie Express is located on [ ] the corner of. Now, the setting of the place is very sketchy but do not let that stop you from visiting. In order to get to the restaurant you must walk down a flight of stairs. At first, this was very sketchy to me because why does a pizza place require me to go underground?I’m still not exactly sure on what the answer is, but I am much more comfortable walking down those stairs than I was before.
One reason that I choose Pie Express over Lotsa is the price. At pie express, an individual pizza pie goes for around $6 while at Lotsa they go for around $10. That’s a four dollar difference that can go towards getting a drink. Now if the price isn’t enough to wow you, I also recommend Pie Express over Lotsa because of the crust. At Lotsa, the crust can often be burnt and has a really bitter taste. I have not had that experience at Pie Express, at least not yet.
Now the environment of Pie Express does differ a lot more than Lotsa as it is more of your typical college dive. The place doesn’t look as tidy as Lotsa but honestly who is looking for a super clean place to have life changing conversations at 1 am on a Friday night. Pie Express gets the job done. You walk in hungry and can leave with your hunger satisfied if you choose to eat there.
